Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance for medical services. However, you may use your insurance for medication coverage if applicable. A superbill can be provided upon request for potential reimbursement.
Listed fees are for medical consultation and care services and do not include the cost of medications or pharmacy services.
My insurance covers obesity specific medications, but requires a prior authorization is this included in my consult?
Prior authorizations are not included in the initial consultation. If needed, this service can be completed for an additional fee due to the time required for documentation, submission, and follow-up.
Completion times may vary depending on insurance requirements.
How often should I follow-up? Are refills provided with my prescription?
Weight management patients are typically seen monthly to ensure safe and effective progress. Follow-up visits may be required prior to continuing certain medications.
Refills are not provided on specialty medications for your safety.
3 month renewals are only available for select common daily medications and stable medical conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and under active thyroid.
If clinically appropriate, treatment options—including prescriptions—may be provided following your medical evaluation. Not all patients will require or qualify for medication.
